RMS II Version 2.1

Please post any questions, comments, or concerns about the new RMS II Version 2.1 update.

Topic areas include:
  • Speed of moving from screen to screen
  • Speed of application startup
  • New buttons and placement on screen
  • New screen for accepting payments
  • Consolidation of tickets for single signature

Likes:
-Transfers screens faster
-Faster when programming adjustments (mostly)
-Pick ticket printouts

Dis-Likes:
-The first adjustment of the day causes the handheld to freeze up completely
-Handheld now has more errors than ever
-Most errors kick me out of the ticket and sometimes out of RMS 2
-Bird on loading careen makes me uncomfortable
-Downloads seem to be more difficult

Pro’s:
-Faster moving from screen to screen
-Easier to use
-Has less error messages
-Like new handheld it just needs a little help, better than before
-POP easier to install
-Overall easier to use.
-Very Nice

Con’s:
-Need a way to skip to next dealer when account doesn’t need anything and still show it has been serviced

There is a way to mark a Dealer as Serviced with out having to go through a ticket. When your on the Consignment Screen for the Dealer press and hold on the Dealer name at the top right of the screen and it will bring up a drop down menu. On the drop down menu click Service and it will mark that dealer as Serviced and move on to the next Dealer.

How do we close out dealers witout any buttons to flag them as closed?

Are we ever going to get the issue with credits not showing up on the handhelds fixed? I have several dealers that have credits and do not realize it and therefore do not deduct them from the amount that they owe when they pay the route drivers. I have many little credits hanging out there on our cash accoutns because of this issue.

The issue with the credits not showing is being fixed on the new release. The new release will be beta tested starting next Wednesday out in the field and hopefully release soon after the beta test sites give their OK.
